Local Check: free Google Maps and Google Business Profile check for local businesses
What gets checked
Local Check reads the public information Google shows about your business, checks it against simple rules and tells you what to fix first, in plain words.
Business Profile
Open status, main category, address or service area, phone number, website link and opening hours: the basics customers and Google look for.
Reviews
How many reviews you have, your average rating and whether the reviews Google shares are recent.
Photos
Whether Google shows photos of your business, and how many it shares with tools like this one.
Your website
Whether it loads, uses HTTPS, works on phones, has tap-to-call, shows the same phone number and address as Google and links to an Impressum.
Enter your business
Its name or your Google Maps link. No account and no email address.
Pick it from the list
Then click “Check My Business”.
Fix it yourself or with us
Every finding says why it matters, how to fix it and whether it is free.
Local Check FAQ
Where the data comes from, what it can and can’t tell you, and what happens to the business you enter.
Yes. There is no account, no email address and nothing to buy. The report is complete without contacting us.
From Google’s Places API: the public information Google Maps shows about a business (name, category, address, phone, website, opening hours, rating, review count, up to five reviews and up to ten photos). Your website is checked by the same scanner as our Page Insight tool. We don’t log in to your Business Profile and we don’t copy Google Maps pages.
Google doesn’t share them publicly. Only the owner sees them in the Business Profile. The report lists these under “What we couldn’t check” so you know what to look at yourself.
No. It is our own checklist of eight things customers look for on a profile, and we explain in the report how we count it. It doesn’t measure or predict your ranking.
Nobody can promise a position. Google says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. The report shows what you can improve in the parts you control: a complete, accurate profile, reviews, photos and a good website.
The name or link is sent to Google to find the business. Google’s answer is shown to you and not stored on our server. Your website is fetched once by our scanner, and that result is kept for a few minutes so repeat checks are fast. The custom website plan runs only when you start it: it sends our website findings and the business type you type to Google Gemini, nothing from Google Maps. We don’t ask for personal data.
Yes. Click “Let’s Improve Your Business” under the report. We set up and tidy Google Business Profiles and build fast websites for local businesses in Vienna.
